Holland Taylor doesn't win Emmy

Holland Taylor did not win the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series award at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards today. This was Taylor's fourth nomination for her role as Evelyn Harper on Two and a Half Men. Jane Lynch won the Emmy for her work on Glee.

Jon Cryer doesn't win Emmy

Jon Cryer did not win the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards today. This was Cryer's fifth nomination for his role as Alan Harper on Two and a Half Men. He won the award last year for the first time. Eric Stonestreet won the Emmy for his work on Modern Family.

Jane Lynch loses out in Emmy race

Jane Lynch didn't win the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her guest role as Dr. Linda Freeman on Two and a Half Men. Lynch lost out to Golden Girls star Betty White for her guest hosting of Saturday Night Live. It's not all bad news for Lynch though; she's currently tipped to win the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy award for her role as Sue Slyvester on the hit dramedy Glee.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards take place tonight but some awards, including Guest Actress, have already been announced. Jon Cryer is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, an award he took home last year, while Holland Taylor (Evelyn) will be competing with Jane Lynch for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. CBS Announces Season 8 Premiere

CBS has announced the details for the premiere episode of the upcoming eighth season of Two and a Half Men. Courtney Thorne-Smith (According to Jim) returns as Eldgridge's mom/Alan's girlfriend in the September 20th episode.

Three Girls and a Guy Named Bud — When Jake finds out that Alan has been dating Eldridge's mom, he packs up and heads to Judith and Herb's. Meanwhile, Charlie decides it's time to cut back on boozing, on the eighth season premiere of TWO AND A HALF MEN, Monday, Sept. 20 (9:00-9:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Courtney Thorne-Smith ("According to Jim," "Ally McBeal," "Melrose Place") returns as Eldgridge's mom, Lyndsey.

Eight episodes made it through to the knock-out rounds and they now go head-to-head in four pairs. The tournament consists of four rounds lasting a week each. The first round is the nominations round where you may vote for up to eight episodes to go through to the next stages. The top 8 then get whittled down round by round until we have a winner.

Charlie Sheen avoids jail time Charlie Sheen pleaded guilty to third degree assault at a hearing earlier this month, stemming from the Christmas Day 2009 domestic incident between Sheen & wife Brooke Mueller. Sheen was originally going to plead guilty in June but the deal fell through over arrangements to allow the actor to return to work on Two and a Half Men. Sheen was sentenced to 30 days in a rehab facility and 36 hours of anger management counselling. He may not need to serve the time in rehab, having served 90 days in rehab earlier this year.

Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer top actors pay list Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer are among the highest paid television stars in the USA, according to research by TV Guide. Sheen holds the top spot as the highest paid sitcom actor, receiving $1.25m per episode of Two and a Half Men. Cryer comes second with $550,000 for his work on the show. Both stars come ahead of the highest paid actor in a drama series, Hugh Laurie for House. Angus T. Jones also ranks highly in the list, reportedly receiving $250,000 for each episode of Men. Jones was named the highest paid teenage star earlier this year.

2010 Emmy Nominations

The 2010 Emmy Nominations were announced today in Hollywood. Charlie Sheen was not nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for the first time since 2006.

Jon Cryer was nominated for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for the fifth time. Cryer won the award at last year's ceremony for his work as Alan Harper. Jon Cryer goes up against Chris Colfer (Glee), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Ty Burrell (all Modern Family).

Holland Taylor was nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work as Evelyn Harper. She was last nominated for the award in 2008 and has been nominated for the award three times in total. She faces competition from Jane Lynch (Glee), Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live), Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), and Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara (both Modern Family).

Two and a Half Men also picked up nominations for Outstanding Cinematography for a Half-Hour Series, Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation.

Jane Lynch was nominated for an Emmy for her appearance in the episode 818-JKLPUZO as Dr. Linda Freeman. Jane Lynch was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Sue Sylvester on Glee.

Season 7 DVD coming to UK

Two and a Half Men: Season 7 will be released on DVD in the United Kingdom on October 4th, 2010. The UK edition is likely to feature similar cover art to the US edition, four discs instead of three and the same bonus features. It can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.co.uk.

The DVD will also be released in Australia on October 13th, according to a listing on DVDCrave.com. The DVD is set to be released in the United States on September 21st and can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.com.

The two episodes going head-to-head in the final round are That Voodoo That I Do Do and Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Burro. The two episodes knocked out were Weekend in Bangkok with Two Olympic Gymnasts and The Unfortunate Little Schnauzer.

Sheen in Forbes' celebrity power list

Charlie Sheen has been ranked #63 in Forbes' annual list of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities. The actor has featured in the list for the previous two years, finishing #88 in last year's list and #85 in the 2008 list.

The increased press coverage of Sheen's private life, the continued success of Two and a Half Men and his wage rise for the series may have propelled him up the list. Sheen finished just behind the band Rascal Flatts and ahead of athlete Derek Jeter.

Oprah Winfrey topped this year's list, the fourth time she has finished first since the list's inception in 1999. Beyonce, Avatar director James Cameron, Lady Gaga and Tiger Woods finished out the top five.
